Stand Up to Taser Abuse by San Mateo Police — February 11

RSVP

Description

More than 1,000 people have died after being shot with a taser by police officers. Coroners have ruled that the taser was the sole cause or a contributing factor in 153 of those deaths. Chinedu Okobi, an unarmed Nigerian-American man in our community, who died in October after an encounter with deputies from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department, is part of that shocking body count.

Join our Bend the Arc South Bay Chapter at the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors meeting to address community concerns about tasers and Chinedu’s death.
