Description
We are in a moment when people are rising up to demand change — like when the movement for Black lives formed after Ferguson, or when students organized to end gun violence after Parkland.
We recognize the evils of families in cages and are are rising up alongside immigrant communities to challenge this inhumanity and cruelty.
Join us - any day from July 21 - August 9th to stand vigil in peaceful protest against the treatment of children and asylum seekers!
A grassroots group of concerned citizens from Bend the Arc: South Bay and Multifaith Voices for Peace and Justice, together with allies and friends in the community, including the San Francisco-based Jewish Community Relations Council has announced a daily multi-faith vigil beginning on Sunday, July 21. We will peacefully protest the U.S. Government’s treatment of children and asylum seekers at our southern borders. This daily vigil will continue through Friday, August 9, Saturdays excluded. All are welcome to attend.
The three week daily vigil will culminate on Sunday August 11, Tisha B’Av, at another location to be determined.
